Do You Have a Betting Strategy?

If you are interested in greyhound racing, you will find that it is similar to horse racing in a few ways.  In both cases, their peak performance time takes place at certain times so some seasons will be good and others not so good. Young dogs, just like young horses, have not yet reached that peak but over time, they will mature and then perform better. 

Betting at the track requires you to collect as much information as you can about each dog and then analyze it.  Only by doing this can be make an educated bet and have a strategy.  There are three areas that need to be analyzed and they are: the value of the odds, the odds offer and the type of the bet. 

To have a worthwhile bet it should be at least 2:1 and this is the odds offer.  The types of bets you can make at the track are a single, multiple and combination etc.  This gives you a good potential for winning with bets such as the straight bet, doubles and the future being the best.  Do your homework before you head to the track so have a strategy for which race and which dog you choose to bet on.
