justine-henin-photo Justine Henin has recently made her comeback to the WTA tour. The Belgian star, former World Number 1, had officially retired from the professional tennis stage in May 2008 after winning 9 Grand Slam events and collecting a total of nearly $20 mil in tennis prize money.

The 27-year-old tennis star announced her comeback last autumn after Kim Clijsters, US Open triumph. Kim had proved that successful comebacks are possible in women’s tennis as she won US Open 2009 after staying 3 years away from tennis.

Henin is playing this week the Brisbane International tennis tournament to warm-up for the big challenge of the Australian Open. She already reached the final where she will clash against arch rival Kim Clijsters. Both stars have set their goal on winning the Aussie Open.

Justine Henin seems to have the higher pressure on her shoulders, as she needs to prove that she is also able of a triumphal comeback. Henin needs to match Clijsters US Open performance if she wants to have a successful comeback. Will she succeed?
